NYC's Dominique Ansel Bakery, who owns a trademark on "Cronuts," responded to the news that a knockoff "Cronut Burger" may have delivered food poisoning in Canada. The bakery said in an email to Torstar News Service: "We have always warned consumers that bootleg and impostor items don't have the same quality, and if anything this just proves our point." [Metro]
