The Country Cat chefs and co-owners Adam and Jackie Sappington have landed a cookbook deal with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Their book will be called Heartlandia: Heritage Recipes from The Country Cat, and Portland-based writer Ashley Gartland will be on board to help write. The cookbook will feature "125 recipes from the iconic Portland restaurant whose heartfelt, hands-on cooking style and heartland-inspired recipes make American heritage cooking relevant to a new generation of home cooks." This will be the first cookbook from The Country Cat duo.
