After a four-month closure to repair damages from the devastating Boston Marathon bombing, Forum will be reopening tonight for a charity event and to the public tomorrow. According to their Facebook announcement, Forum will reopen with a "new look, new chef, new menu and stronger than ever." Eater Boston has photographs of the new interior, which has been redesigned to include a new bar and updated decor.
The restaurant reopens under the direction of its new executive chef Dan Schroeder, who told the Boston Herald that he and his team "just want to do really good, fresh food, something a little different than every other menu on the street." To that end. his menu will feature items like Maine lobster chowder with shrimp and crab galette and Forum's signature fish tacos.
Forum closed following the explosions on April 15th, with both staff members and guests suffering injuries when the second bomb exploded on their patio. Forum was the longest shuddered of the restaurants damaged by the bombing. Now about to reopen, GM Chris Loper tells WBZ-TV that "It was difficult to be closed for four entire months without any revenue. But I think with all the support we'll have we'll make it up very quickly." Check out the WBZ-TV interview and tour of the renovations below:
