Vital waffle taco update: Taco Bell has rolled out its Breakfast Waffle Tacos in 100 stores and it seems they are testing fillings beyond the original sausage and eggs. Brand Eating reports that some Taco Bells in Orange County, CA are testing a Chicken & Waffle Taco and a Very Berry Waffle Taco as all-day menu items for $0.99 and $0.79, respectively. The Chicken & Waffle Taco boasts a fried chicken patty inside the folded waffle shell and is served with a choice of gravy or syrup. The Very Berry Waffle Taco has whipped cream, strawberries, and blueberries inside the waffle shell. An unexpected fruit-based menu option, is the Very Berry Waffle Taco an attempt by Taco Bell to make good on their bold resolution to get healthy by 2020?

UPDATE— A Taco Bell spokesperson reaches out to clarify that both items were released in "test" mode, with one the berry waffle taco currently available in test markets: "Chicken and Waffle was just released for a brief test, and Very Berry Waffle Taco is still in test, the chicken and waffle is not at the moment."
