Here's a nice New York Times profile of DC restaurateur Ashok Bajaj, who owns a string of well-liked restaurants including Rasika, Bombay Club, Bibiana Osteria-Enoteca, and Oval Room. (All favorites of both critics and political types.) Writer Brett Anderson credits Bajaj for bringing DC "into the national conversation about fine dining," while a fan says he "made Indian food cool to eat." [NYT]
