fatburger150a.jpgSome fast food companies are finding creative ways to skirt employer mandates in the Affordable Care Act. Fatburger CEO Andy Wiederhorn admitted that some of his franchise owners have started "sharing" employees in between their locations, in an attempt to bypass the mandate that anyone who works 30 hours or more per week is a full-time employee. The employee-sharing tactic — which has employees working under 30 hours for one franchise, but over 30 for the company as a whole — is totally legal. [CNNMoney via HuffPo]
