DETROIT— According to the Twitterverse, Anthony Bourdain is currently filming an episode of Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown in Detroit, so obviously Eater operatives have been tracking his whereabouts around town. [Eater Detroit]
BOSTON— A chef feud is brewing in Boston, thanks to a dish called the "USS Lobstitution." In response to a competitor's plan to create a 50-pound lobster roll, Neptune Oyster chef Michael Serpa took to Twitter to declare that North End restaurants "are a joke" and "restaurants here are so sad." It should be noted that Serpa's own restaurant is in the North End; so call this a case of no-love-lost between himself and the neighbors. [Eater Boston]
LAS VEGAS— Eater Vegas has an inside look at Rick Moonen's newest project in Mandalay Place: the steampunk-inspired Rx Boiler Room, described as a "casual revamp" of Moonen's upstairs dining room of RM Seafood. Among the design details: "glass art, sculptures, velvet drapes and an apothecary-style lounge." Rx Boiler Room is open now. [Eater Vegas; previously]
