Exploring the issue of whether young people will purchase health insurance as mandated under Obamacare, the Wall Street Journal spoke with Portland, OR food cart cook Gabe Meiffren. Like many other restaurant workers, Meiffren is part-time. He earns $25,000, hasn't seen a doctor in a year, and after crunching numbers with the WSJ concludes: "I'm healthy, so it's not in the budget." The WSJ also evaluated the cost of insurance for a barista, a dishwasher, a server, a baker, and a bartender. [WSJ]
