As the annual deluge of Fall cookbooks draws near, a few previews have started to come across the Eaterwire, including today's sneak peek of Eating Italy: A Chef's Culinary Adventure by Jeff Michaud. Michaud, along with Marc Vetri, is the Philadelphia chef/co-owner of restaurants Osteria, Amis, and Alla Spina, and this cookbook follows him on a three-year journey and culinary education through Italy. Along the way, he apprenticed with butchers and chefs and also met his wife (there's a chapter called "Sex on the Italian Riviera"). Take a peek inside the combination travelogue/cookbook below; Eating Italy is out in October from Running Press (pre-order on Amazon).
