Eater Atlanta has first word that former Top Chef cheftestapant Eli Kirshtein will be opening a new restaurant, The Luminary, in Atlanta, Georgia's Krog Street Market. They report that the restaurant, which is named after the city's first newspaper, will "feature regionalized and updated bistro fare and includes a focus on raw bar offerings." There will also be a large patio. The restaurant is slated to open in the Spring.
Kirshtein has been keeping busy these last few months by hosting a bunch of pop-up dinners: There was one in a secret basement, a Japanese izakaya-style pop-up, and most recently, one featuring Israeli street food at chef John Currence's City Grocery.
