JBF's Momofuku Collective; Amateur Gourmet's Podcast

NEW YORK CITY— The James Beard House brings together all the current chefs of the Momofuku empire in an upcoming "collective" dinner scheduled for August 8. Chefs Paul Carmichael (Má Pêche), Sean Gray (Momofuku Ko), Sean Heller (Momofuku Noodle Bar), and Matthew Rudofker (Momofuku Ssäm Bar), and Jordan Frosolone (Momofuku) will gather to contribute dishes to the seven-course meal; tickets are $170 for the general public and available here. THE INTERNET— The man behind the Amateur Gourmet, Adam Roberts, has launched a new podcast named The Clean Plate Club, in which he invites a food industry person and non-industry guest over for dinner, then records the conversation. PORTLAND— Tickets are now on sale for Oregon's annual Wild About Game chef showdown, which pits chefs in Portland and Seattle in head-to-head battles cooking game meats. The event, scheduled for September 8 at Oregon's iconic Timberline Lodge, will see match-ups like PDX's Erik Van Kley (Little Bird) take on Seattle's Joshua Theilen (Stumbling Goat).
