Here's video footage from a tipster showing chef-owner Thomas Keller being dropped into a dunk tank this weekend for charity at the 13th annual Bouchon Bastille Day party. Like before, Keller was in the dunking seat for a good cause; a portion of the proceeds from the party went toward Yountville Elementary School in California. Still, everyone watching seemed very excited to see the French Laundry chef get dunked twice.
Keller's a good sport about it all; he even shakes the dunker's hand after he manages to climb back onto the dunking chair. And this party had everything: a mustache-heavy Marie Antoinette themed cake, macarons, a French mime, berets, and face painting for the kids. Also on the hot (wet seat): Bouchon's Yountville GM Justin Williams and Yountville mayor John Dunbar. Here's video of Keller getting dunked:
