55 Doughnut Shop Customers Paid it Forward in MA

New, 1 comment

Here's a nice story out of Amesbury, Massachusetts: This past Saturday at local doughnut chainlet Heav'nly Donuts, 55 drive-thru customers in a row paid for the orders of the customer behind them. Eileen Taylor started things off, having had her drinks purchased the day before by another customer. WBZ-TV reports that employees were "stunned" that every customer was "so willing and eager to continue the chain." Says a clerk: "After about the 15th car, I started letting the customers know, 'Hey, we're 17 cars in, you can either keep it going or you can take your coffee and go." According to manager Wendy Clement, regulars will "pay for the customer behind them every once in a while," but the store "never ... had a chain like today." To top things off, Clement says that the chain came to a stop only after there were no more cars left in line. Watch:
