Last night on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Spotted Pig chef April Bloomfield showed up to make some British food and to promote A Girl and Her Pig (even though it's more than a year old at this point?) as well as her upcoming appearance on PBS's The Mind of a Chef this Fall. She kicks things off with some Moscow Mules before starting on mushy pea crostinis, because as Fallon says, "[she] loves England."
Bloomfield explains that peas are "as English as the Queen," so thats logical. She goes on to make British sausage rolls, aka Pigs in a Blanket ("the best American thing in the whole wide world"), and bacon-wrapped prunes and pickled pears that are "essentially Devils on Horseback." There's also a lot of food and cooking-related singsonging from Fallon's camp throughout the whole clip. Watch:
