Chef and Top Chef judge Hugh Acheson has just reopened his newly relocated downtown Athens, Georgia fine dining restaurant, Five & Ten. The design of the new space is considerably less dark than that of the restaurant's former incarnation, as well as bigger with "more seating and more parking." Newly appointed executive chef Kyle Jacovino (formerly of Acheson's Atlanta restaurant, Empire State South) will helm the kitchen alongside pastry chef Mike Sutton and wine director Steven Grubbs (of Empire State South as well). Baked goods, tartines, and coffee can be purchased from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., but dinner service begins nightly at 5 p.m.
