First goes the agent, next go the lawyers. Beleaguered ex-Food Network star Paula Deen has fired her legal team. According to WSAV.com, Deen fired her previous, Savannah-based team for being "out of their depth." She has hired a new "world class" team of "legal heavy hitters" from the Morgan, Lewis & Bockius firm in Washington, DC along with Harvey Weitz from Weiner, Sheahouse, Weitz, Greenberg & Shawe in Savannah.

The new team will be representing Deen, along with brother Earl "Bubba" Hiers and Paula Deen Enterprises, in the ongoing lawsuit regarding claims of sexual harassment, racism, sexism, and "inescapable pornography" in the workplace. It was during the course of this lawsuit that Deen's disturbing racist testimony was leaked, prompting the collapse of her empire, endorsement deals, QVC appearances, and all.
