Saveur Magazine may have solved the recurring problem of culinary disasters aboard cruise ships: its upcoming "culinary cruise" will be powered by sails. The food magazine has announced a partnership with the Seattle-based Windstar Cruises to offer a "culinary focused voyage" of Spain, setting sail in Spring 2014. Per the press release, the Windstar yacht will depart from Lisbon in mid-April and offer passengers an eight-day tour with on-board amenities like two hosted wine dinners, free Spanish wine, shoreside vineyard excursions, and cooking demos by a "Saveur guest chef." Also included in the $3,000 ticket price: a complimentary one-year subscription to the magazine.
The Saveur cruise joins the likes of culinary cruises like the recent Top Chef cruise, and of course, the Paula Deen cruises, which announced additional trips in 2014 despite the star's recent PR troubles.
