Chef Ferran Adrià wants actor Robert Downey Jr. to star as him in the upcoming elBulli film. Guess Javier Bardem wasn't really that much of an "obvious choice"? But Downey is definitely a fantasy casting: Adrià still "[doesn't] know who's going to [play him]." Adrià tells Metro, "Robert Downey Jr. would be good ... He loves eating, he's a great actor, he's been in some fantastic films, he's about my age."

There could potentially be some logistical issues, though: Downey Jr.'s already involved in Jon Favreau's Chef movie, which set to release May 9, 2014. But maybe the shoot dates won't clash and he can do both? Adrià has previously mentioned that filming will "likely happen" sometime in Fall 2013 or early Winter 2014.

The elBulli movie has been in the works for a while now; it will be based on Lisa Abend's The Sorcerer's Apprentices, which focuses on the restaurant's last year before it closed last August. The film will apparently be like Ratatouille meets Social Network.
