Last night, comedian Conan O'Brien hosted Food Networkperson Giada De Laurentiis and found himself repeating nearly every Italian word she said to try to master her exaggerated accent. After discussing that while not speaking about food she has no accent at all, Laurentiis schools Conan on how to say "Spaghetti": spa-GIT-y. The Italian education continues through a demo of chocolate linguini, which is particularly authentic because the stove isn't even on. Andy Richter explains, "This isn't the part we're eating, this is just garbage we're making." Conan isn't the first late night comedian to mock Laurentiis' accent. Jimmy Fallon joked that Laurentiis "Alex Trebeks" Italian words. Below, a lesson in Italian pronunciation and Italian chocolate linguini.
