QVC was originally "monitoring the situation" regarding the beleaguered ex-Food Network personality Paula Deen, and according to a letter posted on QVC's website by President & CEO Mike George today, the company has "decided to take a pause." It's similar to Novo Nordisk, who earlier today "mutually agreed" with Deen "to suspend our patient education activities for now, while she takes time to focus her attention where it is needed."

QVC "talked with Paula and her team" and made the decision: "Paula won't be appearing on any upcoming broadcasts and we will phase out her product assortment on our online sales channels over the next few months." It is not a "forever" decision, as George writes: "People deserve second chances." Also on the site was a letter from Paula Deen that read, in part: "As you know, I have some important things to work on right now, both personally and professionally. And so we've agreed that it's best for me to step back from QVC and focus on setting things right."
