When paying for his meal at Friendly's Sports Bar & Grill, St. Louis man Joseph Gibson noticed a profane addition to his bill, namely that his fried chicken and soda dinner came with a side of "fuckin needy kids." Gibson had made the decision to take his three-year-old son to eat at the normally 21-and-up bar for Father's Day and, understandably, he did not appreciate comment left on his receipt. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Gibson posted a picture of the receipt (which has kind of a fishy, maybe fake number?) to the newspaper's Facebook page, saying, "So customers with children are a joke? This place isn't so friendly."
CNN reports that "because it was Father's Day," owner Denny Domachowski made the exception not only to let them into the bar, but also to offer a single chicken leg meal despite having a no substitution rule. Apparently the waitress had typed in the additional instructions for kitchen staff "as a joke," and that it ended on the receipt was because she was "in a hurry and forgot to take that off."
