British chef Heston Blumenthal stirs the NYC restaurant rumor mill again in this video interview with Food Arts. He discusses at length the very complicated-sounding work that goes into modifying and creating new dishes for his Michelin-starred London restaurant Dinner by Heston Blumenthal (It's also number 7 on 2013's World's 50 Best list). He mentions later that he would "love to open [a restaurant] in New York," as it is "one of the great food capitals of the world, " and that "it would be the next place [he would open a restaurant], if [he] could." Blumenthal already talked about bringing a Dinner concept over to NYC back in May. Last year, there were rumors about him potentially heading to the Mandarin Oriental in Miami.
On top of dreaming about opening a place in New York, he also dreams of being able to sing and dance. He tells Express, "The one thing I'd change about myself is I'd like to be able to sing and dance. I love music but I can't sing along and, when I dance, it's like I'm playing Twister with myself."
