Mario Batali and his sons Benno and Leo were on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night to promote The Batali Brothers' Cookbook. To "get everyone in the mood," Batali makes raspberry-mint lemonades (plus Limoncello "for the adults.") Then Benno and Leo start making some Sloppy Joes, because his sons, and not him, were the featured chefs last night. But also because his boys aren't just some regular kids with a cookbook, they're not making regular Sloppy Joes; their's are "extra sloppy" with salsa, Chipotle seed, and "uh, other spices."
After a few more seconds of watching kids tell grownups how to cook and some backseat cooking from Batali, Fallon jokes to Benno and Leo, saying, "You guys are like, one-fourth my age." Later on, Batali shows a clip he made of Fallon turning a par 3 into a par 17. Says Fallon, "It was so bad I wasn't even embarrassed about it." Here's the two-part video:
