Ten Speed Press has announced that they will publish chef Christian Puglisi's Relae cookbook. According to Publishers Marketplace, the book will be called Relae, and will feature "innovative and practical techniques for elevated vegetable-focused cooking as prepared in his Michelin-starred Copenhagen restaurant and drawing on his experiences in kitchens around the world including Noma and El Bulli." This is Puglisi's first cookbook.
Puglisi's decision to write a book is not totally unexpected. In an interview with Eater last December, the chef explained how a book might help him reach more people: "The restaurant only has between forty or one-hundred covers in a day. These powerful people — reviewers, journalists — you can only influence very few a day. If you go to a conference or an interview, like I'm doing now with you, you can influence more people. You have to write books, maybe."
Relae will feature photography from Fool magazine founder Per-Anders Jorgensen. No specific release date has been set, but Ten Speed Press is aiming for Fall 2014.
