Last night, five restaurants received the James Beard Foundation America's Classics Award: Kramarczuk's (Minneapolis); Frank Fat's (Sacramento, CA); Prince's Hot Chicken Shack, (Nashville); C.F. Folks (Washington, DC); and Keens Steakhouse (NYC). The award recognizes locally owned restaurants that have been open for more than 10 years and have "timeless appeal, each beloved in its region for quality food that reflects the character of its community." During the ceremonies last night, the James Beard Foundation screened the following videos, each going behind the scenes at these American institutions. Have a look.
