Watch Tom Douglas Talk Baking, His Latest Cookbook, and Being an Entrepreneur

Here's Seattle chef, restaurateur, and cookbook author Tom Douglas giving a Google Talk in which he discusses his latest cookbook, The Dahlia Bakery Cookbook: Sweetness in Seattle. Douglas begins the talk with an overview of the book, which he says is "about family and friends ... it's about not being the last person with the recipe card file." Douglas opens the floor for questions, which wind their way through entrepreneurialism, recipe testing at the restaurants, and staying on top of food trends (Douglas says the next big trend will be "modern Indian"). Douglas also speaks of his love for cooking: "Cooking is a treasure. I say, put your computer and your TV in the kitchen and keep cooking." Below, the video.
