Maker's Mark has announced plans to introduce a "state-of-the-art rinse process" to its whiskey-making, a process that would extract extra gallons of whiskey out of the wood that forms the barrels. This is the company's latest attempt to deal with a looming supply-and-demand problem — and presumably will go over better than the previous plan to just add water. [USA Today]
