Things continue to slowly move along for the much-delayed Harvey Weinstein film Chef that is said to be starring actors Bradley Cooper and Omar Sy. Deadline reports that John Wells is making a deal to helm the film now that he's wrapped up work on August: Osage County. Wells also has credits as a director for The Company Men and E.R., plus is known for serving as executive producer for The West Wing, E.R., Southland and more.
So while that's good news, it seems like the wait may still be long to watch Cooper play a chef in Paris who blows his career with drug use only to sober up and return to reach for the three-Michelin-star dream. It appears that the very famous former sexiest man alive has a pretty busy schedule and will move onto the Chef movie after completing American Sniper in 2014.
