Chez Panisse to Reopen on June 21 With a $2,500 Dinner

Her work focuses on dining trends and the people changing the industry — and scouting the next hot restaurant you need to try on Eater's annual Best New Restaurant list.

Following the devastating fire that hit the Berkeley restaurant in early March, Alice Waters' beloved Chez Panisse has announced a reopening date: June 21. Eater SF reports that Chez Panisse is selling tickets for the opening night event. As stated on the Chez Panisse website, all proceeds from will benefit Waters' Edible Schoolyard organization. Tickets will be and $2,500 per person to dine in the restaurant and $1,000 per person to dine in the café The festivities will include: "Special menus, music, dancing, and wines to celebrate the Summer Solstice and Chez Panisse's re-opening."
