Hillary Dixler Canavan is Eater's restaurant editor and the author of the publication's debut book, Eater: 100 Essential Restaurant Recipes From the Authority on Where to Eat and Why It Matters (Abrams, September 2023). Her work focuses on dining trends and the people changing the industry — and scouting the next hot restaurant you need to try on Eater's annual Best New Restaurant list.

Legendary chef Ferran Adrià is looking for the perfect French Bulldog to serve as the logo for the elBulliFoundation and he will search the world to find it. Adrià told the Guardian: "I will hold casting sessions in New York, London, Madrid and Barcelona if necessary." The breed has long been important to the elBulli identity as the restaurant was named for the original owners' French Bulldogs.

Aside from looking for the perfect dog, Adrià has also been busy raising funds for the elBulliFoundation. Last month, auctions of dinners with the chef and elBulli memorabilia in Hong Kong and New York City brought in $1.8 million and $913,605 respectively.
