Dallas restaurant critic Nancy Nichols made use of her pig costume beyond a television appearance yesterday: at the D Mag 100 Best Restaurants party, local chefs purchased pies and then proceeded to throw them at the "anonymous" critic. Which is...a cute stunt. But you can kind of make out her face through the pie? And also she's kind of unanonymous anyway? And also remember what happened last time a Dallas critic hung out with chefs?
Anyway, obviously chef John Tesar took full advantage of the situation, throwing about four pies. Hey, it was for charity — proceeds from the pies went to the North Texas Food Bank — and $750 was raised.
