Canlis 'Changes' the Menu; AIA/LA Design 2013 Finalists

SEATTLE — Legendary Seattle restaurant Canlis has changed their menu, sort of, kind of. A three course menu is now $84 and a four course menu is now $98; the tasting menu and vegetarian menu are still the same. Owner Mark Canlis told Eater Seattle, "I literally think of it as a change in price." [Eater Seattle]

LOS ANGELES — The finalist for the annual AIA/LA, or the Los Angeles chapter of the American Institute of Architects, Restaurant Design Awards have been announced. Finalists include Eveleigh, Superba Snack Bar, Belcampo Meat Co., and more. [Eater LA]

WINE LAND — Is that a wine bottle cooler that looks like a bunch of ping pongs stuck to a bottle of Kim Crawford wine? Yes, yes it is, and was designed by Martin Kastner of the famous Aviary Porthole. A numbered limited edition of 400 pieces, $149. [Kim Crawford]
