New York Times critic Pete Wells dropped a goose egg on NYC's Beatrice Inn today. Although Wells is on board with the restaurants efforts to "broadcas[t] a return to the days when dinner required no explanation," he finds the food at times "unremarkable," "desperately undercooked," and simply "awful."
