The glass ceiling literally broke over customers at chef Wolfgang Puck's flagship Beverly Hills restaurant Spago yesterday during lunch service. TMZ reports that a glass panel from the skylight cracked, showering small bits of glass over the dining room. Luckily, no one was seriously injured and TMZ's "restaurant spy" explains that "the safety netting inside [the skylight] held most of it together." The panel that broke was a part of Spago's mega renovation last summer.

Los Angeles chef Bernhard Mairinger was dining under the skylight with his girlfriend at the time and told The Hollywood Reporter: "We were having the sashimi salad and veal tartare and the oysters. It cracked and fell down on us. It was the two of us that got most of the glass." Puck happened to be at the restaurant at the time (nice) and came out to apologize.
