Hillary Dixler Canavan is Eater's restaurant editor and the author of the publication's debut book, Eater: 100 Essential Restaurant Recipes From the Authority on Where to Eat and Why It Matters (Abrams, September 2023). Her work focuses on dining trends and the people changing the industry — and scouting the next hot restaurant you need to try on Eater's annual Best New Restaurant list.

Tennessee is about to get Brocked: Husk Nashville tells Nashville Scene and confirms via Twitter that it will officially open on May 20th. The online reservation system at chef Sean Brock's Tennessee expansion has not gone live yet, however. The Neighborhood Dining Group's decision to bring the award-winning Charleston restaurant to Nashville was announced in October. The restaurant will be located in a historic home, which Brock and company have been busily renovating.

Husk Nashville has been hiring and training for months. Nashville's Lisa Donovan is on board as pastry chef and Charleston chef Morgan McGlone will be the chef de cuisine. No menus have been posted on the website, but Brock has been doing extensive fried chicken research.
