A senior government official in Mexico was fired after his daughter abused his position to have a Mexico City restaurant shut down by health inspectors when she was denied a table. According to BBC News, the dismissal of Humberto Benitez Trevino from his position as the attorney-general for consumer protection was ordered by President Enrique Pena Nieto yesterday. The incident at the restaurant Maximo Bistrot in Mexico City caused such a stir that over 42,000 tweets about it were hashtagged #LadyProfeco (Profeco refers to the acronym for her father's agency).
