Guy Fieri Boldly Chimes in on the Crazy Kitchen Nightmares Restaurant

Interstellar food dude Guy Fieri was on the Today show this morning and he shared his opinions on the Scottsdale restaurant that had an epic meltdown on their Facebook page after being on Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. Guy Fieri is "in awe" by the whole situation:

I heard about this. It's tough, you know, I'm a chef first, and a restaurant owner, way before I was ever on Food Network, and it's a tough business. And Gordon's show is a lot different than Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. I go to places and say, 'Check out this dish. It's great.' So this whole dynamic that's taking place and how it's escalated... I'm actually in awe.

Fieri — who has professed to be on the "front lines" of a "food revolution" — has had his own kitchen nightmares, what with the zero-star New York Times review of his restaurant Guy's American Kitchen & Bar. Back in November he also used the Today show to respond, calling the review "ridiculous" and accusing critic Pete Wells of having an "agenda."

Fieri also would like the world to know that Scottsdale, Arizona is not full of crazy though: "I've been to Scottsdale quite a few times, I've featured some outstanding restaurants down in that area. There are great places."
