Here are ten spreads — plus the cover, above — from this Fall's Roberta's Cookbook by Carlo Mirarchi, Brandon Hoy, Chris Parachini, and Katherine Wheelock. The book doesn't come out til the end of October (pre-order on Amazon), but as previously stated this is a gonzo year for chef and restaurant books; never hurts to get a head start.
Roberta's will tell the now famous tale of the pizzeria in Bushwick that made the leap from out-of-the-way secret to packed destination restaurant. The book, written by chef Mirarchi and the restaurant's co-founders, has all kinds of pizza and pasta tricks up its sleeve, complete with gorgeous photography that's often allowed room to breath across full pages. No word on whether their chef's counter Blanca will get coverage, although it's more likely they'll save that material for a sequel. The book does cover the restaurant's gardening efforts, though.
