Nestle VS Appleman

FBFpanel.jpgNate Appleman of Chipotle was a panel on food systems at the Food Book Fair in New York City earlier this month, and fellow panelist Marion Nestle questioned him regarding Chipotle's and other big food companies' motivations in serving "responsibly sourced" food: "There is an inherent conflict of interest ... They are contributing to people's over-consumption of calories and are stuck in that model. If anything affects their bottom line, they don't do it." [CE via ISSF]
