Phaidon's massive, international restaurant guidebook Where Chefs Eat — here's a look at the book — is now available in (a much lighter weight) app form for iPhones and iPads. Edited by British food writer Joe Warwick, Where Chefs Eat features recommendations from over 400 chefs including the Adrià brothers, René Redzepi, David Chang, Sean Brock, and Gabrielle Hamilton. The app costs $14.99 and gives users access to the 2,000+ restaurant recommendations featured in the book. As with the book, folks using the app to look for a place to eat can find information on restaurants by name or they can see which chef-approved restaurants are in a particular area. Users can also choose a particular chef and check out those recommendations. The Where Chefs Eat app is similar to the Chef's Feed app, but with an international scope.
