Shake Shack to Open in Chicago, First Midwest Location

Those expansion-minded folks over at Shake Shack have unveiled their next target: Chicago, IL. Eater Chicago gets confirmation from a representative that the rumors of Shake Shack's arrival are true about what would be the burger chain's first Midwest outpost. There aren't any details yet as to where exactly the location might land (or when), but rumor had it that Shack was going into the former Harley Davidson dealership across from the forthcoming Eataly Chicago. Which seems to be in keeping with Shake Shack's philosophy of choosing locations that are near other popular brands.

It'll be interesting to find out where the Chicago opening lands amid Shake Shack's other planned expansions to London, Istanbul, Las Vegas, Brooklyn, two rumored Atlanta locations and more.
