Stephen Colbert's Thought For Food had some thoughts about hummus last night, as the Middle Eastern spread becomes more popular in the US and Colbert has "long guarded the border of the American mouthscape, AKA the freedom hole." Then it's on to Budweiser's Buddy Cup — or, as Colbert calls it, the "Stalker Stein" — a novelty cup for events that makes people Facebook friends when they clink their cups. Colbert sees a bright future for the evolution of the beer drinking vessel: "I look forward to more innovations that put the proud American tradition of putting far more effort into the container than the beer it holds."
