Back in August Google acquired the travel brand Frommer's from John Wiley & Sons Inc, and last week word came that Google is selling it back to founder Arthur Frommer. Skift has a bunch of backstory, including: "The staff behind the website was laid off shortly after the acquisition..." Also fun Zagat bashing: "Long-time authors reported receiving the silent treatment or were asked to submit writing tests to see how well they executed the Zagat writing style... These authors reported being 'annoyed' and 'insulted' by the request for writing samples." [Reuters, Skift]
