Former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher died today at the age of 87. Thatcher will be remembered for many things, including the fact that as a younger woman she was a chemical researcher on the team tasked with developing soft serve ice cream. According to the Atlantic, "While Thatcher's exact contribution to the effort remains, in a way that would foreshadow her future political career, a matter of controversy, her team ultimately succeeded."
