Shouty chef Gordon Ramsay has expanded the reach of his reality television empire. In addition to a whole bunch of other shows, Bravo announced today the new series America's Best Restaurant (working title). It's based on Ramsay's UK series Ramsay's Best Restaurant that puts restaurants in competition with each other to win the title honor. According to the press release, "Sixteen of the nation's best restaurants, representing all variety of cuisines, will compete against each other on their own turf to find out who truly provides the best all-around, top-to-bottom restaurant experience and deserves to be crowned as America's Best Restaurant."

In the UK version of the show, Ramsay is on hand to watch and comment on secret restaurant footage, and he tastes dishes to decide eliminations. It has not yet been announced whether Ramsay will be hosting the Bravo show, but he is a named Executive Producer and his production company One Potato Two Potato is on board.
