Alain Ducasse Consulting on a Restaurant in Yonkers, NY

Photo: Empire City Casino, Alain Ducasse

French chef Alain Ducasse currently has three restaurants in the US, according to his website: Benoit in New York, Mix in Las Vegas, and Adour in Washington, DC. His consulting group, Ducasse Studios, is about to add Pinch at the Empire City Casino in Yonkers, New York to that list. According to the New York Times, the name is a twist on pintxo, a type of tapas, and the restaurant will be helmed by chef Fabienne Eymard (most recently the Executive Sous Chef at Ducasse's shuttered Adour in New York).

According to the restaurant's Twitter bio, Pinch is actually the first restaurant to come out of Ducasse Studios. Pinch's website promises "a distinct 1940s feel," "6 draft booth[s] with self service taps," "an elevated keg room that hovers over the open kitchen," and also iPad menus. Food will be a raw bar, "steakhouse with a twist," and more. According to the Times, Pinch is looking at a late May opening.
