SWAT Team Removes Naked Man Barricaded Inside Waffle House Bathroom

Waffle House is once again host to a bizarre criminal incident. This time, WCTI reports that police, SWAT, and a K9 unit were called to a New Bern, NC location of the restaurant chain/crime magnet this morning to remove a naked man who barricaded himself into the bathroom after he had smashed the lights inside the restaurant.

Milton Howard, the on-duty cook and manager at the restaurant, told the New Bern Sun-Journal that the man arrived to the restaurant armed with two knives and a cane. Howard says that when he asked the armed man to leave, he began swinging at the lights with his cane. After the 911 call was placed, the man barricaded himself into the bathroom and removed his clothes. It took police approximately two and a half hours to convince the naked man to leave the bathroom. He has since been taken to a local hospital for a mental evaluation.
