Tickets for the third edition of Noma chef René Redzepi's annual symposium MAD will go on sale to the public on March 11. Each ticket will go for $450 and "include attendance over two days; breakfast, lunch, coffee and water both days; as well as entry to the afterparty dinner directly following the Symposium's end." Tickets will be available on the 11th through the event's website.
As previously reported, this year's edition will be co-curated by Redzepi, Momofuku's David Chang (who has presented at MAD twice), and the team from quarterly food and writing journal Lucky Peach. An initial list of speakers includes DOM chef Alex Atala, Fréderic Morin and David McMillan of Joe Beef, the Italian butcher Dario Cecchini, and Copenhagen chef Christian Puglisi. Also featured are environmental activist Vandana Shiva, "fermentation revivalist" Sandor Katz, and author Jon Reiner.
Just like in its first two years, the intimate symposium will be held in a circus tent in Refshaleøen, just along the Copenhagen waterfront. See reports from year one and year two, and stay tuned for further announcements.
