Here's another example of Nevada pitching in to help Californians get around the foie gras ban: specialty foods company Mirepoix USA recently moved to Reno in defiance of the ban and is now offering private foie gras dinners in California homes. As it is apparently legal to transport foie to California so long as it was purchased out of state, that has cleared the way for $995 foie gras demonstrations and $1,775 foie gras dinners at Californian homes.
