It seems quite likely that as of next spring New York City restaurants will be compelled to offer full-time employees five paid sick days per year. The city council reached a deal on legislation — which Mayor Bloomberg can still veto — that restaurateur William Tiggert argues will cause an increase in payroll costs and, therefore, an increase in menu prices.
